SEA BRUSHES

In certain parts of this planet, discarded shells of gastropods are assessed according to size, shape and colour and, if deemed suitable, reworked into something akin to a brush. To the human eye, they are curios, coveted for their aesthetic qualities or spasmodic filth flickering, but in places where sand overwhelms and light is scarce, their power comes into its own… Natural bristles spark with spiraling coils of immense durability to rearrange desert dunes, tidy ocean floors or sweep the minutiae of human detritus.
